Nope, really not.

Same as my job. It's dull as hell but at least my line manager is trying to do something about that. See how long that takes. The wages are killing me too and I've only had one pay. People keep leaving my old department too.

I know the feeling. Yes I get the visitors to sign in and out and I get to answer the phone but there's a lot of time to fill in. I'll be doing 8:30 - 5:30 from Friday for nearly 2 weeks.

There's never much to do that's the problem.

Either Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon I spent about 4 hours colouring a map of great britain in paint, because my line manager didn't have the time. It was boring but it was better sitting doing nothing.

I can surf the net but shopping is onyl allowed between 12:00 and 3:00. A lot of sites are blocked for social networking or personal e-mails and stuff. I was on a web site doing logic puzzles and although java is working on the computer it just doesn't work properly with that site anymore.

I wanna f***ing go home. I wanna go home and play Starcraft 2, for the last 1hr i been looking at guides on the net. Well they not really guides cos they not helping.

They have finally found me some work to do although some of it is utterly boring.

I also pointed out to one of my line managers that some of the work they've asked me to do would be a lot easier if I had a second monitor. They thought I was joking.

Yeah a second monitor is quite standard now, although people still think it's an extravagance that is completely unnecessary. I have 2 and I regularly use them both, a lot of people haven't used 2 though and don't get it :/

I think it's more the fact that I work switchboard and just do a bit of admin work they don't get it. They understand why IT might want to well they do now I explained.

Although it has been suggested if we get the new proposed switchboard which is computer operated that we'll need two. Doesn't help me though as one will always have to have the switchboard open.

Got my performance review at 10:00 i really need to fill my forms in.
