 Post subject: Mobo says upto 16gb DDR2 How

Alot of mobos say they can have upto 16gig ram installed I understand you have to have a 64bit os (I do) but how can i install 16 gig ram into my board when 4 x 2gig is 8 I have not seen a 4gig DDR2 800 stick is this one of them things they say it will support it but they dont make it please help clear this matter

They are out there but they're hellishly expensive, and rare. They're hard to manufacture so cost a damn sight more than other sticks.

I have my boards maximum of 8gb of DDR2 installed. I think 8 is enough, and is still quite cheap too.

I dont think I will be getting any of this £504 for 16gig Ill stick with 8 as that is plenty as my system only uses about 1.2 for system...... or I might look for a board with 6 DDR2 slots that be nice but skt 775 as not ready for i5 or i7 complete jump yet as new cpu, heatsink mobo ddr3 psu not ready for all this wallet wont do it,,,, LOL
